Nici Jupp - Founder and Managing Director

Nici Jupp

Nici understands how operating in a rapidly changing, volatile market leaves some clients feeling challenged and confused about what their talent strategy should involve.  What we know is that one size doesn't fit all.  Nici loves working with clients to understand their business goals and to translate this into talent strategies fit to deliver the business success.  

Nici’s favourite things in life are her family - three great kids, a hugely supportive husband – and holidays. Top destination? South Africa - she’s been there once and fell in love with its beautiful landscapes and cultural diversity. Oh and her chocolate Labrador, Dexter, is practically part of the family - and the business - too.

When she’s not busy working with her clients, Nici can be found pounding the hills of Surrey Downs in her running shoes. She’s run two marathons, a 100k trail walk, and is soon to embark on her first ultra marathon - each to their own!

Nici’s Experience and Skills

Starting in 1995, Nici has worked in Charity, Healthcare, Telecoms and IT and FMCG holding various executive and board member positions.  This has included a non-executive director role on her local CCG and Skills Committee member to Coast to Capital LEP (Economic empowerment).  Clients have included Cable and Wireless, Nokia, IBM, Economist, Colt, Aqualisa and Just.

Nici has a BSc in Business and Finance, Certificate in Recruitment Practice and is GC Index accredited.

Nici’s GC Index profile score does a good job of describing her at work (click: The GC Index for more information).  Nici has strong Game Changer inclinations – open to new ideas and thinking outside the box.  She doesn’t settle for ‘good enough’ with a leadership approach that is a driver for ‘leading edge’ change.  In short, Nici’s passion and leadership provides Talent Gateway with a unique perspective on executive search and recruitment, as our many satisfied clients will tell you!

Hannah Gower

Hannah Gower

Meet Hannah

Hannah is a long standing member of the team and loves working for a smaller business and seeing the impact of the work she does.  If you haven’t had the pleasure of speaking to her already she’ll have you on her radar before too long because building relationships with clients and candidates is a key part of her role. Beware - she’ll do her best to bring you around to the Talent Gateway way of thinking. Having said that she insists the most important job she has is managing Nici’s diary to make sure she doesn’t agree to be in two places at once!

Family and holidays in the sunshine seem to be top of the list for most of us and Hannah is no exception. But she’s also fond of her cute but mischievous puppy, a good book, handbags and, dare we say it, trashy TV - her secret’s safe with us!

Hannah’s Skills and Experience

Before joining Talent Gateway, Hannah’s career was focused in Financial Services for over 14 years.  Hannah was a Client Relationship Manager working within financial technology companies.

With her BA in German, Hannah supported large investment banks and asset managers in both London and Germany.  Her clients included the London Stock Exchange and European Central Bank.

After a successful career in the city, Hannah joined Talent Gateway in July 2014 and has worked with Nici to build it into the successful business it is today!

Meet Rob

Our resident money-saving expert - he has a far from healthy knowledge of all things financial - Rob manages all things operational, guiding our growth in a competitive market.

He gets a kick out of being able to connect talented people with the pioneering organisations in which they can thrive.

When he’s not crunching numbers he can be found tucking into cake, preferably of the chocolate variety! Fortunately his next great love in life is running – working off all that cake is quite a commitment. A music lover from way back with a large vinyl collection – he’s finally back in fashion – he’s also an aficionado of sailing and fast cars. He’s the proud owner of a (soon-to-be) classic Subaru Impreza RB5.

Rob’s Experience and Skills

Rob’s career has spanned over two decades across a range of sectors including Telecoms and IT, business services, financial services and the public sector.

He has worked with many clients in his career from WPP – a world leader in advertising and marketing – to many notable telecommunications businesses including AT&T, NTT, BT, Vodafone and Orange Business Services.

Rob holds a BEng. in Electronic and Communications Engineering, a Masters in Business Administration and a Diploma in Marketing.

Meet Sarah

Sarah has spent most of her working life at large corporates so is loving being part of a smaller team where no two days are the same. From updating our website, to writing new job ads, arranging interviews and making sure candidates have got everything they need for an interview or their first day – Sarah’s our woman.

She and Hannah are the neat freaks of the office – they keep the rest of us in check – but arguably though her most important job is making sure everyone gets their 11am caffeine hit!

Outside of work her home and family are the main focus for this mum of three. But when she’s not keeping the home fires burning you’ll find her at the gym. She loves the endorphin high of a good workout, but more importantly likes knowing she can unashamedly eat what she wants.

Sarah’s Experience and Skills

Sarah’s has enjoyed a varied career in Travel and Marketing spanning over 25 years.

Sarah looked after passengers on the Customer Service side, before moving to Marketing and focusing on Acquisition, Retention and Account Management with clients including American Express, Tesco and large hotel chains and car hire companies.

She managed the partner communications to Virgin Atlantic’s loyalty programme members and has worked across the Virgin Atlantic brands.

In addition, she has held close working relationships with design and CRM agencies, provided managerial support to a motor trade company and provided support to a small start up online retail business – a jack of all trades!

Anne Bedford

Account Director

Meet Anne

Anne joined us in April 2017 after nearly three decades of working in the city. Having loved working in London, she was looking for a local, yet forward-thinking and ambitious company where she could continue her career. Talent Gateway ticked those boxes. Not only is this well-established company going through a growth phase, but the culture is exactly what she was looking for: collaborative, team-focused, supportive as well as friendly, where the resident dogs are part of the team.

Outside of work, Anne loves running around after her 3 children and spending time with her family. She may be seen very occasionally socializing with friends (😉) as well as keeping fit, running and the odd adventure such as climbing Kilimanjaro.  

Anne’s Skills and Experience

Anne has extensive experience working in recruitment and supporting clients in investment banking including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, RBS and HSBC to name a few.

Anne worked with Morgan McKinley in the Senior Operations Recruitment team before going onto set up and run the Investment Banking Operations division at the Bloomsbury Group until 2011. 

More recently, Anne worked at a management consultancy firm, responsible for sourcing, interviewing and short-listing investment banking candidates and as a Director for Tempest Learning & Development where she was responsible for marketing and developing client relationships.

Hannah Marsh
Business Support Manager

Meet Hannah

Hannah is the newest member of Talent Gateway and is enjoying being part of a team having been a consultant for the past three years. 

Hannah works with Hannah (the name wasn’t a requirement of the job role!) to support Nici and the team. She is our nominated GDPR Officer and leads on quality management and market research.

When Hannah is not at work, she is entertaining her energetic toddler and enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Hannah is a Town Councillor and believes in supporting her local community.   Hannah has a love of live music – fortunate as she spends most weekends as a groupie to her husband’s bands!

Hannah’s Skills and Experience

With over 10 years’ experience working in both the private and public sector, Hannah has built her career by supporting organisations to grow and develop their businesses through her expertise in social value measurement, primary and secondary research, and business strategy.

As a Social Return on Investment Accredited Practitioner, Hannah is passionate about helping companies to grow and operate in a sustainable way through understanding, measuring and responding to their social impact.

Most recently as a consultant, Hannah has supported local authorities, not for profit and private businesses with social value measurement and business strategy.



Our Story

The Directors of Talent Gateway have spent a number of years working within organisations and building their own high performing teams. What they know is that focusing on an individual’s ability to do a role based on a CV and therefore, skills and past experience plus an interview isn’t enough. We believe there are three key components to deliver successful recruitment.

  • Skills, experience relevant qualification – combination of paper based research – focuses on what they have done;
  • Personality & potential - Understand an individual’s motives, values and preferences;
  • All of this needs to be assessed in the context of business strategy, Cultural context and understanding – who are you and why would I want to work here?
