Nici Jupp - Founder and Managing Director

Nici Jupp

Nici understands how operating in a rapidly changing, volatile market leaves some clients feeling challenged and confused about what their talent strategy should involve.  What we know is that one size doesn't fit all.  Nici loves working with clients to understand their business goals and to translate this into talent strategies fit to deliver the business success.  

Nici’s favourite things in life are her family - three great kids, a hugely supportive husband – and holidays. Top destination? South Africa - she’s been there once and fell in love with its beautiful landscapes and cultural diversity. Oh and her chocolate Labrador, Dexter, is practically part of the family - and the business - too.

When she’s not busy working with her clients, Nici can be found pounding the hills of Surrey Downs in her running shoes. She’s run two marathons, a 100k trail walk, and is soon to embark on her first ultra marathon - each to their own!

Hannah Gower
Business Development & Relationship Manager

Hannah GowerHannah has been part of our team for two years and loves working for a smaller business and seeing the impact of the work she does. If you haven’t had the pleasure of speaking to her already she’ll have you on her radar before too long because building relationships with clients and candidates is a key part of her role. Beware - she’ll do her best to bring you around to the Talent Gateway way of thinking. Having said that she insists the most important job she has is managing Nici’s diary to make sure she doesn’t agree to be in two places at once!

Family and holidays in the sunshine seem to be top of the list for most of us and Hannah is no exception. But she’s also fond of her cute but mischievous puppy, a good book, handbags and, dare we say it, trashy TV - her secret’s safe with us!

Rob Jupp
Commercial & Operations Director

Rob JuppOur resident money-saving expert - he has a far from healthy knowledge of all things financial - Rob manages all things operational, guiding our growth in a competitive market. He gets a kick out of being able to connect talented people with the pioneering organisations in which they can thrive.

When he’s not crunching numbers he can be found tucking into cake, preferably of the chocolate variety! Fortunately his next great love in life is running – working off all that cake is quite a commitment. A music lover from way back with a large vinyl collection – he’s finally back in fashion – he’s also an aficionado
of sailing and fast cars. He’s the proud owner of a (soon-to-be) classic Subaru Impreza RB5.

Our newest team member has spent most of her working life at large corporates so is loving being part of a smaller team where no two days are the same. From updating our website, to writing a new job ads, arranging interviews and making sure candidates have got everything they need for an interview or their first day – Sarah’s our woman.

She and Hannah are the neat freaks of the office – they keep the rest of us in check – but arguably though her most important job is making sure everyone gets their 11am caffeine hit!

Outside of work her home and family are the main focus for this mum of three. But when she’s not keeping the home fires burning you’ll find her at the gym. She loves the endorphin high of a good workout, but more importantly likes knowing she can unashamedly eat what she wants.

Anne Bedford

Account Director

Having graduated in 1988 from Brighton University with a degree in French and Linguistics, Anne joined Credit Commerical de France in Paris working for the Head of Equity Research. Moving back to London in 1992, Anne joined Merrill Lynch within the Research function and subsequently worked for the Head of Equity Sales as a bi-lingual Sales Assistant on the trading floor for 3 years.

After 6 months travelling, Anne began her recruitment career in 1995 at Michael Page focusing on Investment Banking contingency recruitment. In 1998 Anne joined Morgan McKinley where she worked in the Senior Operations Recruitment team. In 2006, Anne moved into Search & Selection, where she set up and ran the Investment Banking Operations division at the Bloomsbury Group until 2011, when she went on maternity leave with her third child.

Since then, Anne spent 1 ½ years at a management consultancy firm, responsible for sourcing, interviewing and short-listing investment banking candidates. She then worked as a Director for Tempest Learning & Development where she was responsible for marketing and developing client relationships. In April 2017, Anne joined Talent Gateway as an Account Director.

Our Story

The Directors of Talent Gateway have spent a number of years working within organisations and building their own high performing teams. What they know is that focusing on an individual’s ability to do a role based on a CV and therefore, skills and past experience plus an interview isn’t enough. We believe there are three key components to deliver successful recruitment.

  • Skills, experience relevant qualification – combination of paper based research – focuses on what they have done;
  • Personality & potential - Understand an individual’s motives, values and preferences;
  • All of this need to be assessed in the context of business strategy and Cultural context and understanding – who are you and why would I want to work here?
